Happy Saturday!

I'm going to be doing a little maintenance today. It will likely cause a tiny interruption of service (specifically for www.dreamwidth.org) on the order of 2-3 minutes while some settings propagate. If you're on a journal page, that should still work throughout!

If it doesn't work, the rollback plan is pretty quick, I'm just toggling a setting on how traffic gets to the site. I'll update this post if something goes wrong, but don't anticipate any interruption to be longer than 10 minutes even in a rollback situation.

Second year in a row I start in early! (Mostly because national television axed our preview show last year, and so youtube is now my only recourse for hearing the entries ahead of the contest itself.) Early favourites of what's been selected so far [edit: or, in fact, of the lot of them]:

I should really do a belated roundup of faves from the last few years, just to make up for the fact that I wasn't posting at the time. (Because FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF some of them. And in particular, heh, apropos folksy vocal ensemble faves. *_*)

I just started a playlist with my standard-option portable bluetooth speaker connected for audio, had the bass drop in Jah War at all of 13 seconds in hit and went "oh no that is A TRAVESTY AND AN ABOMINATION"* and immediately plugged in my subwoofer instead. X,D X,D X,D X,D (You really don't wanna listen to classic dubstep with poor bass reproduction, hahaha.)
